MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is sometimes known as collagen induction therapy because it boosts collagen production. Collagen is a protein that supports the structure of the skin, making it strong but supple.

Microneedling creates tiny, controlled micro-injuries on your skin, forcing your body to begin a natural healing process involving activating the fibroblasts to create new elastin, collagen and hyaluronic acid. These 3 components help to improve the overall health and appearance of your skin and can repair skin damage and remodel scar tissue.

microneedling, known as collagen induction therapy treatment intended to generate new collagen and help skin tissue to look and feel smooth, firm, and toned.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a device with tiny needles to create micro-injuries on the surface of the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the skin's natural healing process and trigger the production of collagen and elastin, which can help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and other skin imperfections.

  • What are the benefits of microneedling?

    The benefits of microneedling include:

    Improved skin texture and tone

Reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

Reduction in the appearance of acne scars, surgical scars, and other types of scars Reduction in the appearance of hyperpigmentation and age spots

    Increased absorption of skincare products

  • What does the microneedling procedure involve?

Microneedling is done with a microneedling pen, which contains lots of tiny needles on the tip. We use the Skinpen, which is the only FDA cleared microneedling device. Before the procedure, a numbing cream will be applied to the skin and left on for 20 minutes, giving you a painless treatment. During the procedure, a gel or mesotherapy products are applied to the skin, so that the Skinpen can glide across the skin. The whole face is treated, including the eye area.

  • How long does microneedling take?

20 mins for the numbing cream, 20 for the procedure, so treatments slots are usually for an hour.

  • What should I expect after having microneedling?

After the procedure, the skin may be red and slightly swollen, but this typically resolves within a few hours to a few days. It is important to avoid sun exposure and wear a high SPF sunscreen 24 hours after the procedure.

  • How many treatments of microneedling will I need?

The number of treatments needed varies depending on the individual's skin concerns and goals. Some people may see results after a single treatment, while others may require multiple treatments spaced several weeks apart. It is best to consult with a skincare professional to determine the best treatment plan.

  • Aftercare for microneedling

Aftercare for microneedling may include avoiding sun exposure, using gentle skincare products, and avoiding makeup and other products that may irritate the skin for a few days after the procedure. It is important to keep the skin hydrated and to follow any other specific aftercare instructions provided by the skincare professional.
